INTRODUCTIONS

      The Mini-vol Air Sampler is designed for atmospheric aerosol sampling with a flowrate of 5 liters per minute (LPM). The small size and light weight make it convenient to do sampling at different locations. Besides AC power supply, the sampler can be operated by a provided rechargeable 12V DC Li-ion battery for more than 24 hours. This advantages sampling at remote location where AC power is inaccessible. By utilizing different impactor nozzles, the Mini-vol sampler can be used for TSP, PM10, PM2.5 or PM1 collection. The air flowrate is strictly controlled by a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control module includes an orifice and a differential pressure sensor for flowrate monitoring. Accurate flowrate control is critical to achieve precise size-cut of the impactor.
